Communications Officer (Emergency 911 Dispatcher), City of Black Hawk.

Hiring range is $42,437 - $48,803, DOQ/E.

Position is responsible for the operation of the emergency communications console including the receipt of calls and proper dispatch of appropriate equipment and personnel to provide assistance to the citizens and visitors of Black Hawk in the areas of Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services. Requires high school diploma or GED; valid Colorado driver's license with a safe driving record; ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Must be at least 18 years of age.

Applicant must successfully complete several pre-employment tests including but not limited to typing, mathematical and multi-tasking skills, psychological exam, physical exam, drug testing and background investigation as conditions of employment.
